Stuart Fleischer is presently teaching science at the American International School in Israel and is an adjunct professor at Tel Aviv University teaching ecology to overseas students. Dr. Fleischer has an undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Tennessee and received his masters, specialist and doctoral degrees in science education from Florida State University. He began teaching at WBAIS-Israel in 1991. Stuart's teaching career began in 1987 at Jupiter High School in Jupiter, Florida.

Dr. Fleischer became interested in embedding e-learning technology into his curriculum about 15 years ago when he participated in and consulted for an internet-based peace project called “Migrating Birds Know No Boundaries” which was created by Dr. Yossi Leshem and chaired by Nobel Prize winner Shimon Peres and former U.S. Vice-President Al Gore. Since then, he has created a variety of projects, led workshops in 13 countries and consulted on innovative uses of online technologies in education for groups such as NESA, NAIS, NSTA and EARCOS. Presently, Stuart Fleischer serves as the project director for the NESA Virtual Science Fair for 5th grade and the middle school grades and currently oversees 20 participating schools in NESA, AISA, EARCOS and NAIS. The NVSF projects are sponsored by the U.S. State Department's Office of Overseas Schools. This year, Stuart  launched the GAIA Project (Global Awareness, Investigation and Action) in three countries. This project is a grassroots environmental project where students become citizen scientists and tackle local environmental problems with the help of local and international scientists, educators and global diplomats.

Stuart has been a regular international presenter at the JOSTI Conference which is sponsored by the U.S. State Department's Office of Overseas Schools for the past 5 years. Numerous workshops have been created on use of collaborative and social media tools in the classroom, how to market IT integration into the school and converting weapons of mass distraction into tools for teaching and more!
